Washington D.C. Concealed Carry Weapon Permit Class
FFT’s Washington D.C. Concealed Carry Weapon permit class meets the training requirements for the District’s CCW for those seeking to carry or possess a handgun while in the District of Columbia.
Washington, D.C. is a “shall-issue” district, granting both residents and non-residents the right to apply for a Concealed Carry Weapons permit.
With a D.C. CCW, one may carry a concealed handgun to protect herself/himself while in the city limits of Washington, D.C., on the condition that she/he has met all legal criteria and completed the training requirements with a certified D.C. CCW Instructor.
FFT’s class provides the legally required 16-hour curriculum on the District’s firearm laws, home firearm safety, child safety laws, legal transportation of firearms, prohibited and restricted areas, situational awareness, and brandishing.
We will also cover more basic firearm-related topics such as handgun components, pistol actions/functionality, ammunition, firearm malfunctions, cleaning and storing, etc.
Following the classroom portion, student must then shoot a course of fire with at least 25 rounds from a distance, not more than 25 yards.
This is a 2-day course.
