DC/MD Concealed Carry Course
Virtual - Zoom Meeting
FFT’s combo DMV Concealed Carry Course allows students to complete the firearms training required to apply for a concealed carry permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
Washington, D.C, Maryland, and Virginia give residents and non-residents the right to apply for a concealed carry permit, on the condition that she/he has met all legal criteria and completed the training requirements with a certified instructor.
FFT’s class provides the legally required 16-hour curriculums for both the District and the state of Maryland, as well as all training required by the state of Virginia. Topics covered will include laws surrounding self-defense and use of deadly force, home storage and child safety laws, legal transportation of firearms, prohibited and restricted areas for concealed carry, and brandishing.
We will also cover more basic firearm-related topics such as handgun components, pistol actions/functionality, ammunition, firearm malfunctions, cleaning, storing, etc.
The classroom portion will occur virtually via Zoom. Students will then schedule individual appointments to visit the range and complete the firearms training portion, as well as the shooting qualifications required by DC and MD.

Ready to accept the responsibility of concealed carrying a firearm on a daily basis? This course satisfies Virginia's CHP class requirement and explores everything you need to know before applying for your CHP in the state of Virginia, including the application process itself.
Course topics include self-defense law, prohibited and restricted areas, state-specific firearm laws and restrictions, situational awareness, brandishing, and reciprocity.
Upon completion, students will receive a course completion certificate, qualifying them to apply for a Concealed Handgun Permit in the state of Virginia. There is no shooting requirement for this class.
$65 per student.

Dual Pennsylvania/Utah Concealed Carry Class

Are you ready to embrace the responsibility of concealed carry and get serious about your own personal protection? This dual Pennsylvania and Utah concealed carry class allows students to complete the training requirements for both state permits, allowing them to carry in 38 states.
Together, a Pennsylvania resident permit and a Utah nonresident permit give the holder reciprocity in 38 states. Nonresident Utah CFP applicants can apply by mail.
Course topics include:
• Laws surrounding self and third-party defense in Pennsylvania & Utah
• Prohibited/restricted places for carrying concealed firearms
• Contacting 911 – what to say and not to say, and your legal rights during the investigative period
• Situational awareness and avoiding confrontations
• Reciprocity and the legal transportation of firearms
Please note: there is no shooting component to this course. Neither Pennsylvania nor Utah requires applicants to shoot in order to prove competency.

LADIES ONLY Basic Pistol Shooting Course

This LADIES ONLY basic pistol course is a great opportunity for ladies to obtain the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and operating a firearm safely. It’s an ideal setting for ladies to learn and feel comfortable asking questions about firearms and handgun safety.
Topics include: proper operation of revolvers & semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge, dealing with malfunctions, fundamentals of marksmanship and range safety, firearm cleaning, maintenance, & storage, Pennsylvania self-defense & concealed carry laws, situational awareness and avoiding confrontations.
$125 per student. Includes class, range fees, and a firearm rental. Students will receive an NRA Basic Pistol Course completion certificate.

LADIES ONLY Advanced Pistol Course

This LADIES ONLY Advanced Pistol Course is ideal for ladies who are ready to embrace the responsibility of concealed carry and get serious about their own personal protection. It is an excellent follow-up to any basic pistol or concealed carry class.
Course topics include:
• Threat assessment - identifying potential threats and positioning yourself advantageously
• Criminal methods - strategies criminals use to gain the upper hand and how to combat them
• Use of deadly force - laws surrounding self and third-party defense in Pennsylvania
• Contacting 911 – what to say and not to say, and your legal rights during the investigative period
• Self-defense claims – the five essential elements of a legal claim of self-defense
• Domestic violence – recognizing abuse, options for victims, and ensuring physical safety
Students are encouraged, though not required, to bring their own firearms for the live fire portion. Ladies will also have the chance to test out different firearms to determine what might be their ideal concealed carry gun.
